Changes You would like for next gen Equus

In no particular order...

AWD
Better seats ( more cushion bolster)
No ashtray = more storage
More substantial trunk latches ( feels flimsy closing)
Less plastic around NAV and gearshift
Option list I would like front camera and power trunk but not the funky back seat of Ultimate
More exterior and interior colors
Some sort of door bumpers, going to be spending a lot on dentless ding removal if you have to park in public places

Auto Dimming brights
lighted home link buttons in mirror so I can see them at night
Controllable ambiant cabin lighting with choice of colors.
More agressive SPORT mode.
1 foot longer wheelbase with all of it in the back seat area so I can actually use the footrest. (Ultimate Model)
Better GPS with Birds Eye view option and Google Maps built in.
Panoramic Sunroof.

Two minor requests. The wood steering wheel is beautiful, unless you live in the South when it get so hot that it will burn your hands. Go to all leather.

Second, the back speakers have chrome rings around them. When you look in rear view mirror in the day, the chrome reflexes and is a distraction. They should be all black.

You have to have an internet connection to use Google Maps, you know that right? I would love a 4G internet connection on the car, absent that, you can not use Google maps.

Somebody already mentioned a true long wheelbase model so that ottoman can be used by tall people. That's my biggest complaint about the current Ultimate model. power is adequate in the 5.0 liter model but I'd like to see a setting for those less concerned with saving gas who want more performance. I think the current interior and exterior are nice but I can't buy one knowing the next generation will probably be a WHOLE lot better inside and out.

I agree about the speaker rings in the rear window causing distracting glare. It has caused me to run with the sunshade up most of the time.

I am thinking of asking the dealer to order non chrome rings for the speakers. They should be able to find those. I wonder if the rings come off?

I thought about a black magic marker, but that sure is a cheesy way to fix it and I doubt it would work.
