Changing the License Plate Light

I saw some old posts about having to take the entire trunk apart to change a burnt out LED light.
I was not able to access pictures on the thread and I really do not want to disassemble the rear of my car just to change a license plate light!

Has anyone been able to figure out an easier way?

I have been searching for videos all night and there is nothing.

From what I read in the posts here its an ugly job to replace them due to a bad design of the rear trunk panel.

When I peeked under the felt one of the lights was unplugged. It was plugged back in but the wire seems to be pulled out of the light box. Maybe I will call the dealership and see what they say. Thank you for responding!
