  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
    If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hi all, some friends recommended me to change my gennys tire with
(Bridgeston turanza) as it increase the stability and better braking and decrease Road noise? Is that right!? Any one have any idea about these tires!?

Use the search button.. There are at least 30 posts about this tire..

Great tires. I replaced the OEM Dunlops with Conti DW, but for some reason (not lack of maintenance/rotating) they became very noisy (developed cupping with maybe 10,000 miles on them. I got rid of them and got some Turanza's and all is well. Very quiet and smooth riding;

That cupping is not the fault of the tire. Your alignment is bad or your dampers are dead.

My genny equipped with HANKOOK tires and wanna change with Bridgeston turanza!! Who have experience about which tire is quieter?

The tires bouncing up and down as you drive causes cupping. Bad shocks or other worn suspension parts cause this.

How many miles on your Turanzas?

So they claim, but neither my car dealer nor my Goodyear dealer (where I bought the Bridgestones) could find any fault whatever with either alignment or suspension. And I never felt anything out of the ordinary on the road.

Because other posts were not answering the info i need!

So posting that you need an answer in the other thread wouldn't have done that too? :rolleyes:

If i make a new thread or post on another, its smth as i like, so why u make ur mind tired with what i do.

When you make a new thread for the same topic it clutters up the forum. The idea is that when someone like yourself needs information they do not need to look at 30 different threads most of which say the same thing.

If you have additional questions about an existing thread, it is best to ask it there. Since people subscribe to threads this gives the highest probability that the people who are interested in what you are asking see it. It also keeps all relevant information in one place. Like a library...

I've never seen so much hating on peeps as this forum. Enough smart @sses in here to make Obama look like he knows how to run a country!!!

Some tread designs are more prone to cupping than others. Rotating front to back and side to side would help. I remember this as a problem with certain Goodyear tires when I worked for Goodyear.

Definitely a suspension issue or a faulty set (batch) of tires, have had my Conti DWS's now for 35k miles and still going strong and a quiet ride. I got a lifetime tire balance and wheel alignment package through Firestone which has been well worth the $. If you look them up on Tire Rack or other sites they are ranked always #1 or 2 within their category. I think the only difference for me next time is I'll go with the high performance summer version since in FL there is no snow...hopefully !

Speaking of hating... (or maybe it's just Obama Derangement Syndrome)
