  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Cheap, easy and effective way of sound deadening genny in 1 hour!!!

+2 on tire noise. My last tires, Pirelli P-Zeros were very quiet but unfortunately wore out fast. My new Yokohamas make noticeably more noise.

Did you have the P Zero/Neros?? Those are what came on my car and I love 'em but will be needing new shoes in about a year at the most.

I've been researching putting the expandable foam in the fender wells but want to be sure it won't screw up anything or cause issues down the road.

If you're out of warranty I say why not. If under warranty, I wouldn't do it. Any rust or corrosion issues anywhere near that area will be blamed on the foam.

You're probably right. They would blame "anything" on the owner if possible. However, the rust-proof warranty is 5 yrs (I think?).

Anyway, I'd hate to think I'd screw up my car by doing the expanding foam thing even if it was out of warranty. With the kind of luck I have, there are connectors/wires running in there and the foam would mess up something.

Lordy, this topic (which WAS interesting) has made the worst turn I've seen so far.

I always thought one of the best features of the my car was how quiet it was. Hmmm?

Although the Genesis sedan is a quiet car, adding Hyundai all weather floor mats also makes the car quieter. Adding floor mats to the front and back definitely lowers road noise. The floor mats can replace the factory carpeted floor mats.
