Hello everyone,
So last night driving home from Atlantic city to Pittsburgh on I-76 I encountered somewhat of a problem with my 2015 3.8 ultimate Genesis. I was in the right lane going about 70 in Normal Mode, I decided to switch it over to Sport Mode to pass up a car and to test the Sport Mode on the highway. The next thing I realized I was going about 110MPH, which honestly didn't even feel like it (also have a radar detector lol) but also my check engine light started flashing and then it just stayed lit. I put it back in Normal mode, the car drove fine, no hesitation, no sifting problems, nothing at all, just the light was lit on my dash. I love this damn car but last night I was pretty upset the check engine light came on (5500 miles). This morning I decided to unplug the negative terminal off my battery hoping it would reset the ECU. To my luck, it worked, no check engine light and again it drives perfectly fine. Also I did the vehicle diagnostic, which is built into the BlueLink, and it shows that no issues have been found. Now, can someone explain to my WHY the check engine light came on after putting it in Sport mode at high speeds? Or whatever else could explain this.
Thanks
