Hey Everyone,
Just wanted to share my experience with the check EV System fault. When I went out for a five minute drive yesterday it turned on. Having read the forums I was prepared for it to tell me to stop driving and have it be towed to the dealer. To my surprise it let me get home and when I shut the car off and turned it back on the message didn't come back up. I called my dealer and they said to drive it and worst case scenario have it towed. I was on my way to see some family so my wife and I drove it for well over 75 km before the message came back. Even then, it let us keep driving. We easily put another 30km on it while the warning was on the dash.
I decided to take it to the dealer since I wasn't far from them and left it running. The tech scanned it and was able to determine that it was a water pump issue. They ordered the part and told me I could keep driving the car. They told me the car has two water pumps so it's fine to keep driving. I have no idea how accurate any of that information is but I drove it again this morning without issue.
For some context the car is a 2023 advanced that I purchased used. It was CPO from Genesis and in the CarFax I saw that the fuse had already been replaced previously. I will do my best to keep everyone updated but curious if anyone else has experienced anything like that or experienced the same issue that got worse over time.
