  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

What's going on when the steering wheel hard also said Check LKAS ?

lane keep assist is not happy about something. I turned mine off, I found it more intrusive than I liked for my driving needs. I'd say it's a good system, but not perfect, none are. The hard feeling in the steering wheel is the car trying to take over because it thinks you are out of the "groove" in the lane. I have a problem on one intersection that always confuses the system, it tries to follow the center line and wants me to take the turn lane when I'm trying to go straight. it seems to favor center lane marker over fog lines. This intersection the lines are further apart than normal, a typical lane is 11-12 feet wide, this section the lane is like 15-17' wide. The computer has to make a choice at this divergence of width, and in this intersection it chooses "wrong" every time. It's correct more than 99% of the time everywhere else.

The system is easy to turn "off".

When I drove my G80 home from the dealer (about 45 miles, highway), the car would "pull" every time I got near the side of the road. With all of the construction in Michigan, the lines are often missing, repainted or just wrong. When I got home, the first thing I did was look up how to turn off LKA! I highly recommend it.

There's a button by your left knee to turn it on/off

I only use mine on long Interstate trips along with the radar cruise.... Really does reduce fatigue if you're in the seat for more than 4 hours.
