  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Genesis Model Type
Genesis G80
I have seen a number of these posted. Still didn’t see where is best location to get FCM and where it’s located. Mine is doing it every trip and is constant

Location of the Fuel Control Module is in the trunk, drivers side, behind the panel where you see the emerency fuel door release cord. There is one electrical connector and the module is bolted in place. Our Genesis 3.8 used to give us this fault when we first got it a couple years ago but has cleared up. I took it to the dealer under warranty a couple times and they could not dupicate so nothing was done. I saw some on EBay, used, for sale, and purchased one for $40 in event the problem returns. I don't believe the module has to be programed and can be changed out.

Salexander3580 I have an unopened FCM that I purchased before I realized they were going to replace it for free. When I get off work I'll post the part number if you're interested. I never got around to posting it on ebay. It's a super simple swap.

Still have it for sale?

(removed previous)...

Just did a quick search and someone stated the FCM module controls both the fuel pump and seat belt pre safe system. Now it makes sense why the PSB error comes up.
