Has anyone had any experience with this error when reversing. I’m asking as this issue is intermittent and I am steeling myself to deal with the dealer. When putting my G80 into reverse I get these two errors

I've have seen this on my 2018 G80 Sport on rare occasion. It typically occurs when raining/snowing. It goes away/clears up by itself after a few minutes. I hypothesize it's caused by rain/snow covering the sensors in the bumpers. The car treats this as a malfunctioning sensor(s) and throws the error on the screen. Your pictures above appear to show it was raining when the error occurred.

I've considered heavily waxing or applying Rain-X windshield treatment on the front and rear sensors to prevent water, snow and/or dirt from sticking to these sensors to reduce/eliminate this problem/error.

I've also seen similar errors with my G80's Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) and Automatic Cruise Control (ACC) systems. The AEB/ACC error typically happens when there is a heavy/wet snow that sticks to the front or rear bumper. Clearing the bumpers resolves the issue.

I've seen this issue on other cars I've owned (2000 Acura TL and 2011 Hyundai Genesis 3.8) with these sensors.

Ok thanks for the feedback. The rain and wet is what brings it out for sure but I wasn’t sure if maybe one of the sensors had been compromised and had water infiltration in it. I’ll keep a towel on me and next time it happens do a quick walk around dry of the sensors and see if it cures the error. I have experienced this before on my 2010 Genny but it was only snow and ice that caused it, and was clearly evident as it was caked on, never just water droplets from rain.

My 2018 G80 is more sensitive to the rain/moisture on the sensors. It's infrequent and not really that worry/bothersome. On my 2000 TL and 2011 Hyundai Genesis 3.8 I only saw this issue when there was ice/snow/frost on the bumper sensors.

I had one of my sensors hit by a rock from the highway and it was dented. Had to be replaced. Not a cheap fix either.

I have a 2019 G90. The sensors are really messed up. They cause a battery drain and the battery goes dead. They cant seem to locate the drain but it appears to be sensor connected as the sensor warning goes off even though there is nothing near the vehicle. They have worked on it a few times still without success. Thankfully it is still under warranty. I wonder if at some point they have to give me a new car or at least let me purchase one really discounted. Other than this I love the car. I owned a 2017 G90 and a 2913 Nexus or some such which I really liked and wonder why they changed the name of the car division? I sometimes wonder if my car was put together in North Korea.

Mine malfunction at any temperature over 60 degrees - I think it's the driver's side front that's bad...

I started to get the "Check System" error message consistently on my 2018 g80 Sport 3.3T last Friday. Issue always occurs when shifting into reverse. It occurs intermittently turning parking sensors off then on. I noticed the left front sensor is NOT being triggered when I get close to something.

I did a OBD scan on the way to work today and it threw module error code B1211-00. Front Center Left Sensor Fault: No Sub Type Information.
There are 4 sensors on the front. 2 on the outside edges on bumper and 2 inside of grill. Based on error above it's the left side/driver grill sensor that's misbehaving. I'm going to check for dirt/damage on the front sensors, loose connector, but I'm guessing one of sensors has gone bad 8(.

Has anybody replaced a front sensor themselves or paid to have it replaced? I'm interested in level of work (labor hours) and part cost. I'd prefer to fix myself as car is out of warranty for this repair and my local dealers are a PITA to deal with.

I found sensors online for $219USD, just need to figure out which sensor is malfunctioning and order the right sensor. This site shows 5 different front sensors, but not where they are located. If anyone has a the service manual and can give me part numbers for the front sensors it would be mucho appreciated.

Doing further research the part numbers for 5 different front sensors all start with 95720-B1800. The last 3 digits are the paint code 95720-B1800-YW6 = Casablanca White Tricoat. This is to match the bumper color. 95720-B1700 appears to be the grill sensors. I am speculating these sensors are black for all exterior colors.

Can others confirm the front grill parking sensor cover color is black and provide he year and model (e.g. 2018 G80 3.3T)?

I cleaned all 4 parking front sensors with an alcohol wipe yesterday. There was not a noticeable amount of gunk/junk on the wipe. The "Check System" warning is now occurring 4/5 versus 5/5 times when shifting into reverse. Subsequently, I'm thinking a loose/dirty connection on the applicable sensor versus a bad sensor being the problem. I hope to remove the affected sensor this weekend to clean/look at it.

I did find a replacement sensor (albeit used) on eBay for $50USD.

I removed the front bumper on my 2018 g80 Sport 3.3T over the weekend. This youtube video was tremendously helpful. Removal and reinstallation was not the nightmare I was expecting. It went back together and looks the same as pre-removal. I only broke 1 plastic rivet!

The misbehaving center/driver/left parking sensor had a very subtle dent in it that was probably caused by a rock or debris from the road. I believe this is causing the sensor malfunction. I recall someone else reported this same issue, but could not find that thread.

I removed and cleaned both of the center sensors. Connections looked good and put some dialectic grease on the connectors. Part numbers for these sensors were the same, but the QR code showed a minor difference in the part number.

QR Code part numbers
Driver\Left - 95270-B1700--20170421-07127960
Passenger\Right - 95270-B1700--20170421-07127940
I speculate the difference in the last two digits is mfg. date or a revision, but these 2 sensors appear to be interchangeable as replacement for either center parking sensor. The outside sensors ARE a different part/number!

I also swapped the location of the center sensor when reassembling to ...
1) Verify center sensors are interchangeable.
2) Confirm my hypothesis that center\driver sensor was bad.
I ran an OBD scan it and it reported Code B1212-00 Front Center/Right sensor Fault: No Sub Type Information. Before swap it reported code B1211-00 Front/Center/Left. I continued to get the same "Check System" error as before bumper removal.

I am confident the sensor is bad and not a wiring issue. I just need to decide on buying a used replacement ($50USD) or a new OEM replacement (~$250USD).

I've seen these floating around on eBay for a lot less than $250 - in OEM packaging.... Haven't looked lately though.

Replaced the driver side inner parking sensor this weekend and it resolved "Check System" warning message. I bought a used sensor on ebay for $65.55 USD ($50 + $10 shipping + $5.55 tax). I did not find any new OEM sensor for sale on ebay at this time.

I took out all 4 sensors, cleaned up and added dialectic grease to connector. Picture below is driver side on left and passenger on right. The inner sensors had removable mounting brackets (shown at top of picture). The outside sensors brackets were not removable.

Bumper removal and reinstall was not too difficult. I'd already done this once a few weeks back to troubleshoot the issue. This youtube video was tremendously helpful. Front bumper was secured with plastic pop rivets and bolts. There is a connector on the driver side by the headlight that needs to be disconnected to remove bumper. Repair time was about 1.5 hours. I took my time and cleaned up and tightened up some bolts on the front end. I even removed some dirt/rocks from the A/C condenser/radiator.

No special tools are required (socket set and screw driver) and anyone with a modicum of car repair skills could tackle this project.

Thank you so much!! I was about to panic

so ive been having this same issue, finally went into the dealer, they are quoting $700 for the fix. claims the part is $400 alone, the rest being labor. this is crazy! I really dont want to remove the bumper myself...does this sound right?

Yeah I was afraid of that the dealer would charge something like that ($700). I replaced my battery and a few days later this fault started. I have a 2017 G30 3.8 litre.
