  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Just wondering if anyone thought about or has added a second turbo on their Genesis G70 2.0T?
Has Anyone ever chipped their 2019 G70 2.0 T? Or Chip any vehicle how well does it work? It just seems to easy to plug something in your OBD2 port and not have any issues.

Might as well get the V6 if you want twin turbo. There’s a reason why I4s are single turbos. Save your money there and do a piggyback tune. Look into the JB4 chip, it’s pretty popular in 2.0 Stinger community. You get respectable gains at a decent price

What do you think of chipping by using the OBD II port?

I know this system that you showed me uses the OBD 2 but also has to be plugged into other systems. I’ve seen some that just plug into the OBD2. I want to be able to remove it when getting my vehicle serviced.

Just go with the JB4. Does the trick nicely, and easy to install/remove when needed.

+4psi in Map 1, +5psi in Map 2. Stick to those lower maps and all you’ll need is 93+ octane and re-gapped plugs.

I’m no engine designer, but i doubt the i4 pushes enough air to feed 2 turbos without crazy lag. Now, you could go all Volvo and add a supercharger to supplement the turbo - that‘d probably work if you have the cash. I’ll subscribe for updates!

If you want bigger power than a JB4 can add, clearly the 3.3T is the way to go. Wasn’t an option for me. No manual, no care.

Thanks!!! Yeah I already have had my 2.0T Genesis for over a year. I just don’t want to do anything that could possibly void the warranty. I paid extra for the 10yr or 100k warranty. I only have 13k mileage in almost two years. I might just suck it up and not go anything. I know in 4 years I want to buy a jeep and I’ll just get the one with the Hemi in it to make up for what I don’t have in the Genesis lol.

any tune voids the warranty.

an ecu tune reflashes your ecu and in most cases, even if you flash back to stock, they can still tell. You cant just put something on the OBD and have it increase performance, those reflash the ECU. At least with the JB4 it doesnt modify your ECU and you can remove it before taking it in.
