  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hello......I have a 2013 Genesis R Spec Sedan. It has approx 121,000 miles and I am the original owner. The last few days when coming to a stop, I hear 3 chirps coming from the dash and get an icon that I cant identify.. I double checked my owners manual and there is no mention of any 3 chirp warnings or this unidentifiable icon. Again it only happens when slowing down and alerts at about 5 mph. Anybody experience this or know what it could be. I do not want to contact the dealership for obvious reasons. Please advise. Thanks!

Photo of the icon would help.

I would have but I don't see any type of upload features. Am I missing something?

When you hit "reply" the window allows you to type your message. Across the top is a set of icons for formatting like Bold and Italic and further down the line is "insert image"

Yeah I saw that icon. but when I clicked on it it it brings up a HTTP frame with an insert button underneath the frame. I just have JPG files to upload. I don't know how to do this. Why does this have to be so complicated, I am dead in the water.

Click on it. It will say drop image or click here. When you click, it brings up the box to find the JPG file. Click the file and it will load

I finally figured out why I couldn't add attachments. I had "ad blocker" activated and because I did, I didn't have full function of the forum website. So here are the pics.

That is a fault from your front parking sensor(s). Because the parking sensors only function from 0 to ~5mph, it only shows the fault when the car is moving that slow. And it will show that fault every time the car is moving that slow. So you get the fault display and the beeping alert every single time you come to a stop while driving.

Had this rarely occur from time to time on my 2012s, and it reset each time the car was turned off. Usually didn't return, on the subsequent drive, so I didn't make much of it. I chalked it up to dead bug splatter on one of the sensors, or something similar.

So you can try cleaning off the sensors. If it persists past the next key-off/key-on/restart, then IIRC you can disable the parking sensors via button on the left side lower dash, or diagnose/repair/replace the sensor(s) and/or circuit.

Good luck.

That makes sense. My front parking sensor is exhibiting the same symptoms as yours did. I will check it out. Thank you!
