  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

In regards to this post...

Be very careful when detailing the chrome trim! Even when using "the softest microfiber towels", the chrome trim is becoming lightly scratched. The door handles and wheels don't appear to have this problem. These scratches have been noticed on Genesis sedans at the dealership!

I've observed this as well, but not on the aftermarket pillars I bought. Does anyone know why the stock chrome scratches so easily? Is this typical? What can be done to protect it?

I would heartily recommend Liquid Glass. Check it out at www.liquidglass.com.
This stuff REALLY works and lives up to its name.

What parts are we talking about? I heard door trim, but what about the front chrome grill?

Chrome on my trunk area has numerous light scratches and I bought new softess microfiber towels just to use on my Genesis. Will be looking at purchasing the Liquid Glass via website posted. My front grill, door handles and wheels do not have any scratches on them.

I havent had any troubles yet with the chrome scratches. I use all zaino products on the genesis and am very careful with it. The trim is chrome look and thus susceptible to small scratches and stuff. You just have to be very careful when washing/cleaning the car and good microfiber towels are a must.
