  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Has anyone chromed out their side mirrors? I'm contemplating doing mine. 2011 4.6 -- they look really good on the new Impala's. Just a thought...

Yeah I'm not a fan at all of the chrome pillars. They make any car look horrendous. Lol glad you removed them.

I'm not big on chrome at all. I think it looks ok when used in small amounts by the manufacturer but its not something I would add more of that's for sure. Chrome mirror covers would be very tacky IMO.

I have been looking to accent my car out with carbon fiber and wish I could find rear view mirror housings in that.

:D

Have someone wrap them in carbon di-noc vinyl. Pretty simple to do.

where did you get those black pillar covers??
I got that set from Kapastore (Seoul) on eBay. I just looked and Kapastore is no longer there, but eBay has piano black pillar covers from several different vendors. Mine have a double white pinstripe border and the "Genesis" label in white at the bottom, which I like, but the ones currently on eBay seem not to have this.

Not a fan of chrome side mirrors because they look cheap. I would use CF vinyl wrap for a sportier look.
