  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Does anyone know where I can pick up another cigarette tray. I used it to put coins in, and someone must of taken it out of my car or something because I don't have it in there anymore. I usually close that area with the cover because I think it looks better that way and I almost never open that spot unless I put coins in. Anyway a couple days ago I opened it and was like WTF where is my cigarette tray. Not sure what happened to it, I asked everyone who drives my car if they took it out and they all said no. So where can I get another one, or can I put something better there for my coins?

Where can you get another one? Did you try the Hyundai Parts Department?

Dealer's parts Dept.

I took mine out intentionally, you can fit more in the space without it.....

If I were you, I'd just line it up with some of this:

...and use it as a coin tray!

That's what I plan on doing anyway... learned that little trick on here somewhere. I have some of that lying around somewhere anyway!

;)

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
Have you been to a car wash? Most likely that's where it went

I think I will just use the empty slot as my coin tray. It gives me more room but just looks a little odd. Also I haven't been to a car wash, I usually wash it myself.

The coin holder from my 2001 Avalon is a perfect fit in place of the ash tray in my Genesis. Check out the photo. The cover still closes and no rattles. Now, where to get the Avalon coin holder? I'd start with a local auto salvage yard.

If it was an OEM part, then it should be available from Toyota. I checked a website that sells Toyota parts and could not find it in their catalog or parts diagrams of the center console. Are you sure it came factory installed with the car, or was it a dealer added accessory? Where was it located (front console, etc)?

I pulled the ashtray and use the well as coin holder for quarters only. I think I might try and fabricate some plastic dividers that I can expoxy in to store other coins also.

This link shows an illustration of where it fits in the Avalon console:

That's about $32 with shipping, which is a little steep.
