  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hi all,
New guy here with a 2016 Ultimate. I am poking through all the radio, navigation, and phone memories and trying to delete the previous owner's info. The radio is easy enough, but I can't figure out how to clear the saved stuff in the navigation and especially the several phones that have been connected by Bluetooth. Any thoughts?

Well, that sounds easy. I guess I need to look at the screens more carefully. Thanks!
Yes, the first time I want to find it they were not very obvious but they are there. I'd tell you but don't recall right now. Poke around. Patiently

I'm pretty sure there is a master reset that wipes everything. most infotainment systems have them now a days so you can reset prior to turning in a lease or trading it in.

Couldn't find that. All the cars I test drove had old info on them, so I assume it isn't too easy or the dealers would do it as a matter of course in prepping a car... I would think.

i'll look when I can, I know in my Lexus there was a master reset, and I used it before selling the car, it removed all saved map destinations and favorites, all phones, and all pre-sets.

Isn't there a pin hole for reset bu sticking a straightened paper clip in it?

That only resets the system in a manner similar to resetting a computer, it reboots the unit, but does not clear the data. it is used if the unit locks up or hangs..

This is true. I finally got out to the car and gave it a go. You are also prompted to delete everything ( nav. addresses, contacts, all bluetooth connections, etc.) but you will then need to re-sync your phone to bluetooth. But the car sucks all your contacts, phone numbers and addresses from your phone, so that's easy and cool.
Thanks all for the info and cheerful assistance!

I didn’t want to “suck all” my contacts onto my car’s Contacts, but now I’m stuck! How do I remove the numbers I will NEVER call while driving?
