Clicking Noise between 25-30ml on the road.

Good point. Any members here who have full resolution to the cricking noise between 20 and 30 mph at coldstart up. Please provide some advice on how You got the dealer to fix the issue.

Troubleshooting is the same isolate the sound and potential issues. The sound can travel to parts of the interior so the source can be fun to dial down and prove.

I brought my well serviced vehicle in, took the dealer a total of 9 days to agree to the apparent known issue. My tech was young so we rode in the car together I pointed the sound out. There was a few days of out right denial of the issue and I felt from the service advisor an uncomfortable level of unbelief.

But eventually the drive shaft was replaced and a day later I was able to verify no more nagging clicking noise on cold start right around 30 MPH. As a previous poster said some type of weird vibrations going on, I hope the shaft never fails on someone!

Out of warranty this would be a 1400 repair.

This is a great car, not perfect but I owned an m5 with an 8k repair that did not resolve the issue.

This has been a problem with other makes as well. My '05 Acura RL had its propeller shaft replaced twice. Once while I leased it and once by the next owner. $1400 seems awfully cheap to fix.

1400 will get you a nice carbon driveshaft with cv joints.

I have been trying to get my car in for this issue for months now. The 2 month long mechanic strike is now over but now the dealers are backed up. Spoke to a service rep the other day and they cant get me in for at lease another 2 weeks. Going to call the service Manager today to see if we can work out something sooner. Really want this and my roof worked on before the weather turns.

Recently took my '15 3.8 AWD in for this issue, and provided the sheet that rojo2223 provided in another thread.

They claimed that by replacing some bolts on a heatshield they were able to fix the issue. I took it out for a test drive in busy traffic and couldn't really hear it, but of course, this morning on my drive to work (mostly through town, so all 25-35mph speed limits) it's all I can hear.

So TL;DR: It's definitely not the heatshield.

I took my '16 AWD in for the same problem, Vibration and noise around 30mph. They found a TSB for the fix and it says to replace the drive shaft and if that doesn't fix the problem it lays out other repairs. The TSB is 20-DS-002H, and you can just google that number and read through it, it is dated Sept 2020...see attached file.

Having the same on my 2015 3.8 RWD. First was the dreaded dealer response 'cannot replicate'. Then it was 'those are normal driving sounds'. Fortunately, followed good advice from this forum and took a video. Clearly captures the whirring / clicking sound - similar to my youth when I'd clothespin a baseball card in my bicycle spokes.

My car is 3.8 AWD, 2015. I bought 3month ago. I run 5K mile now.
When I drive 25-30ML/H, I can heard strange clicking sound in rear bottom part from 3K mile.
I have been dealer shop several times, Then can not solve it still now.
I searched on Internet blog. someone told me that noise come from 4WD Motor, someone propeller shaft or drive shaft. But they say this problem occurred
again after replaced these part.
I can heard well in the morning before engene heated.
I uploaded on YouTube to explain.

Does anybody figure out these problem?
