First Generation Cold Air Intake 4.6

Does anyone know of a good Cold Air Intake for the 4.6.

There are no real options. Beware of R2C Intakes because they claim to have them, however after I ordered one and it didn't even ship after a month, I had to fight with the company to get a refund for a product they admitted they didn't have the parts for in the first place. You're better off just purchasing a KN drop in filter, and keeping the stock system. It is a true cold air ram intake already, pulling air from under the hood.

I second not buying from R2C as i had to dispute the charge with my bank to get my money back. SXTH sells a cold air intake for the 4.6 and it's pretty nice and well priced

Explain to me how that is a cold air intake? The factory air box assembly has an air pickup right on top of the radiator. You can see it in your picture. It has those two stickers on it. The factory system sucks cold air from outside the engine bay! Your “cold air intake” is sucking hot air from inside the engine bay!!!!

SXTH has dyno proven numbers to show this intake adds power, and while driving my intake temps are within 5-10 degrees of ambient temp which probably isnt too far off of how well the stock airbox performs. Plus I dont have the center under-body panel so I'm sure there's a decent amount of fresh air circulating into my engine bay. I know people on this forum are pretty divided when it comes to a cold air 'style' intake vs the stock air box, but personally mine had a stock air box when i got it, then i removed the trap door and didnt notice a difference in power, and now i have this intake i haven't really noticed a difference in power either but I like the intake sound and personally i think it looks 10x better then the stock intake tube so I went with it.

someone in one of the facebook groups said the same thing, they might not offer it anymore.
