  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I haven't seen any of the 2015's on the road yet, so I have only seen pictures of the colours.

I am most interested in the two colours (my wife says grey, black, white, and beige/brown are not colors) - so that limits it to red and blue. In pictures, the Montecito blue looks almost grey - has anyone seen it in person? How about the Ibiza blue - is it fairly bright? How about the red - is it a bright red, or is it a brownish red. (Each picture I see it seems to look different.)

I'd be interested in hearing from folks who have seen a lot of the colors on the road which ones they thought really looked good.

(I realize colour preference is very subjective - but sometimes first impressions can be quite telling.)

Thanks!

The Ibiza blue is a great color, only thing is it comes in only white interior.

The red isn't bright like a sports red, it's close to the previous generation red in my opinion.

I like the ivory interior (at least in the pictures) I just wasn't sure about the black wood it comes with. I like the matte finish burl oak that comes with the beige interior (when you get the "ultimate" package).

I find black interiors too warm in the summer (we are in Texas) which is one reason why the ivory is appealing (I also like the look).

The '15 red is almost the same color as my '12's Cabernet red pearl metallic. The '15 has a slight hint of tomato. My '12 hints more of cranberry. Parked side by side, though, there is no huge difference. If you liked the old red, you will like the new one.

We narrowed our color down to the Montecito Blue. It is not gray, more between gray and gun metal blue. A must see in person. The red is more burgundy color. It is not fire engine red. Ibiza Blue it too bright for our tastes. Another car color worth looking at is the Brown. It is not brown, more of a rootbeer color that changes in the sunlight. Pretty neat color of which I thought I would hate.

I recommend you do local searches of dealers in your area and go check them out.

I have seen all but Parisian Gray.

Liked Manhattan Brown, Empire State Gray, Casablanca White and Ibiza Blue.

White looked very sharp with glossy black roof (pano roof; personal preference) and brown looked really pretty under the direct sunlight but wasn't so pretty when it got dark outside. It almost looked like black.

I went with Ibiza Blue and couldn't be any happier with my decision. Plus, it's a very rare color too. :)

Can you post some pics if you have not already, including the interior. Thanks.

I went through all this and ended up with Manhattan Brown/Beige and am very happy with the color combination. Combined with the Ultimate package, it is a very classy (IMHO) look. It is true that in direct light, it sparkles. In cloudy/dark it does look black. The only thing I don't like is the fact that the black panoramic roof gets 'lost'. I prefer the contrast with the lighter colored cars.

One thing I really love, not color specific, is the awesome puddle lamp with the Genesis logo. So cool.

Congrats. That color is stunning. Can you post up some pictures?

Rspec, you sold me. Thanks to you my first choice is Ibiza. 2nd choice is White, 3rd is Montecito. If I actually pull the trigger it will likely be White/Gray or Black interior. Ibiza is almost impossible to find in Southern California.

I went with the monticito blue/gray intereior for the opposite reason. I wanted the black panoramic roof to get "lost". I prefer a one tone car to a two tone car. I guess each to its own.

I do agree the puddle lamp with Genesis logo is cool.

PUlled the trigger and bought a Black/Black 3.8 AWD Ultimate. LOVE IT!!! I tell everyone I have a Batmobile (puddle lamps wing logo) and a jetfighter (head-up display) and oh yes it's a car too.

Went to see the Red and did really like it BUT I say BUT I realize I'm really bloody short and what I SEE is the INTERIOR of the car, NOT the exterior. That's for others and while one can't help a little preening, the truth is the car IS FOR YOU. SO I realized that the grey interior to me was nothing special. Just like my OLD Taurus in fact, and that the white would get too dirty too fast. So I realized what really mattered was the black INTERIOR and then that I thought the black exterior was classic. NO regrets. Except the voice activated system is WAY WAY TOO SLOW and not as accurate as I'd like and the nav not as intuitive and picks some ODD routes ...
