  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Color-Matched Mud Guards

I own a 2011 model but the ones that the seller sent me had a hole on the side that lands straigh on the side skirt. That for sure is not the right mud guard and he had it listed as sedan 09-11 model. After emails back and forth I just returned them because he was trying to tell me that those were the right ones and I know for a fact he was wrong. I just want to know where can I get them a little cheaper than the dealership.

Thanks!!!

Installed mine recently and saw the same thing you did. It sounds like you have the wrong side. The hole that is on the side skirt is actually supposed to be on the bottom. Also, color matching is the way to go! Makes the body lines look a world more complete, and really adds a sophisticated look to the car.

I have a 2011 Black Genny, would it look that bad to just keep the guards the original color as supplied. I see how some have color matched and they look great. If someone has a black car and installed guards as supplied could you please post a picture or point me to where I can find one...thanks

I'm also in the process of painting my mud guards. I'vc applied two coats of Rustoleum and two coats of grey auto primer. I'm waiting for the paint and clearcoat to be delivered from Automotive Touch-Up. I've used their products before on my 09 Sonata and have been satisfied. Anxious to see how things turn out and how durable they will be.
