Do you know whether an update is in the pipeline for the 2023 year model? Or whether some 2023's have it? I would assume 2024s do.

For a somewhat inexplicable (to me) reason, the 2023 and 2024 GV60s only have HDA1 even though their less expensive stable mates are getting HDA2.

One can spend countless energy chasing new features. My theory is to relax and enjoy the incredible car we all have.

Yeah, since we have HDA1, getting this is even more of an upgrade for us. No need to "jiggle" the steering wheel (since it has driver monitoring with front camera) is a big improvement for long highway trips. The way it handles stop signs and traffic lights is impressive too, but I don't know if I'd use it in town.

Who told you that? Perhaps your dealer? Learned long ago that dealers are frequent sources of misinformation (not unique to Genesis and Hyundai), both in the sales and service departments. The lack of wireless has been discussed on the board countless times over the past two years. Pretty sure the conclusion was the hardware is simply incapable without an aftermarket module. At one point there was speculation that the hardware would be upgraded for MY24.

Looks like you saw what you wanted to see. Nothing here says it’s coming soon to Genesis. This is the way rumors become fact.

There have been several announcements about the roll-out of wireless AA/ACP to select Hyundai/Genesis models, and even mentions about [enabling] said functionality - but nothing that I've seen on either side via updates over the last year. At 1st it seems like the hardware was already there in select models the way the announcement was written, but again after waiting more than a year I highly doubt that's the case.

Can confirm the comma/openpilot setup kicks some serious ass in the GV60. Have put hundreds of miles on it with that system online and its better than HDA, HDA2 (had a GV70 previously too) or even Tesla autopilot, by far! I'm using sunnypilot, a fork of openpilot, that has some added features. Gets updates/new driving models often etc.

If using openpilot, yes (since openpilot handles the lane change). Standard HDA without the addon comma/openpilot doesn't do the lane changes though. Openpilot is integrated with the blind spot sensors etc too.

Downsides: if using openpilot ACC (which can be enabled/disabled separately from the steering system), you do get an error on the dash for now since its intercepting the AEB system. 100% possible to use the car's built in ACC with the openpilot lane keeping/lane change etc all working too though, and then there is no error. Only appears if you override the cruise control, and not just the steering. If enabled, Openpilot ACC does also use the car's built in/already existing distance sensors too though, works very well.

Openpilot also uses a different driver monitoring setup than stock. Instead of making sure you touch the wheel, it watches your eyes/face and gets mad if you look away from the road much. It can also optionally also monitor steering wheel touches though.

Doubles as a dashcam too... though its not amazing at that particular job, it does work.

Confusing, there is info we have both, lol IDK. Hopefully AA/CP Wireless will get pushed out to us. My module works great other than it stays connected after you turn off the car for 30 minutes sometimes longer.

That's a bit complicated. If not using longitudinal control from openpilot, its using stock ACC and the car's normal AEB is fully engaged and functioning. Openpilot/sunnypilot can definitely still do the steering in this state, no problem.

With experimental mode fully engaged, openpilot handles the braking and will yell at you loudly if things start happening fast. I've also seen the car's stock system still trigger emergency braking during parking in openpilot experimental mode. Openpilot also definitely brakes hard when openpilot cruise control is engaged... however I haven't tested if openpilot will auto emergency brake if in experimental longitudinal mode if openpilot cruise control is not fully engaged.

There is also a third/in between mode where openpilot feeds speed changes to the stock system, but the stock system is still handling the task and there is no interference with stock AEB etc.

Stock/default openpilot/sunnypilot configuration should not interfere with AEB, enabling experimental mode must be done manually and isn't even available in the stable software releases etc, only dev.
