  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Having a prob with a Samsung Hue phone. It will pair with the BT and is ok with out going calls, but the BT will not recognize incoming calls. Any clues ??

Also, where can I find a list of compatible phones ??
This is a new 2009 Sedan. So far the dealer and the phone reps are stumped !!

Thanks in advance..

I'm new to Hyundai, but in the past I've found other vehicle websites willing to name the phones that are compatible. If all else fails, have your salesman try to couple your phone to the car; if it doesn't work, there's your answer.

Check every menu in your phone for anything that could cause problems.

Example. I purchased an unlocked (graymarket) Motorola L9 and when I paired it to my Genesis, it "seemed" to work fine, except incoming calls would answer direct. That is when I received a call, the DIS display would show I was connected, NO PHONE RING, and if I was not looking at the display, next thing I knew was that the person phoning me was saying "hello - you there?". At first, I thought it was a problem with the car, but found that I had a setting in the phone that was "auto connect". I clicked the auto connect in the phone to off, and now my BlueTooth works great.

Like I said, check all the settings in your phone, and you may find a clue there.

Good Luck

The Genesis bluetooth system is calle BlueConnect and you can get information and technical support from the manufacturer here:
http://www.jciblueconnect.com

For information on specific phones and instructions for each phone, go here:
http://www.jciblueconnect.com/findpair.taf

By checking the last link above, it says:
Samsung R500 Hue "Not Compatible"
Samsung R600 Hue II "Compatible"

If you have the R600 check the site for specific instructions to pair the phone.

Strange!
I went into that site, and clicked on all three countries offered, US, UK, IRL and none of them have my Motorola "MotoSLVR L9" listed. (They also don't have my two Motorola V400 listed but they are not Bluetooth compatable).

I admit, I purchased my UNLOCKED, GSM, QuadBand SLVR L9 from a local dealer, and I know it is a "GrayMarket" phone however I see them for sale online (for half the price I paid) in many online dealer websites.

My two V400's (QuadBand, GSM) are locked into my carrier. When I got the
L9, all I did was to remove the SIM Card from one of the V400's and put it in the L9, and voila, all my information (including phone number) was there. I need a GSM Phone (vice a CDMA Phone) because I go to Europe, and GSM Phones work all over Europe. (Get off the plane, turn it on, and voila, I'm connected). CDMA phones do not. Next time I go, rather than using my unlocked L9 with my American carrier, and paying their high price per minute,
I will either purchase a European SIM card off the internet, with a European (French or Italian) phone number, or once in Europe, I will just go to a Cell Phone store, and purchase a prepaid SIM card with a European number. I will then put my American SIM card back in my V400, only for incoming calls from the USA.

Well, back to the point. My L9 works great in my Genesis.

Thanks for the help..The prob has been solved. Not compatible..

THANKS AGAIN !!
