Concierge service withdrawn

Pohanka Hyndai of Fredericksburg Va has withdrawn its concierge service because it says it no longer sells Genesis. The closest Genesis dealer is Safford in Springfield 40 miles away. It says it will not pick up my G80 from my location. This is disconcerting because I purchased the G80 mostly on local service support. Pohanka will service my vehicle but no concierge or loaner support. I fear this will or has gone nationwide. You are forewarned.

Have you contacted Genesis customer support? I was told the limit is 50 miles for concierge service. What year is your G80?

As for Pohanka, it sucks for you but is understandable if they are not a Genesis dealer they will not be reimbursed. They would have the same status as the local Ford dealer.

Thanks. 2017. Why would not HyndaiI reimburse with same corporation? I will reengage Safford over the distance issue.

From everything we have heard, Hyundai dealers are supposed to honor the original service agreements for pre-2019 Genesis cars which would include concierge. Contact Genesis customer service and let them know the situation. They will either correct Pohanka or have Safford pick it up.

Let us know how it turns out.

Pohanka is getting compensated by HMC for no longer carrying Genesis and for the cost that it had entailed.

Should be able to get warranty work w/ all the service amenities from Pohanka.
