  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I'm thinking about buying the 2025 Genesis GV80, but I’m a little concerned about the dealership situation. I live in the Seattle metro area, and the only Genesis dealer nearby is Genesis of Kirkland. Unfortunately, their Google reviews aren’t great.

I really like the GV80 for its features, design, and value compared to other luxury SUVs, but I'm worried about what ownership would be like if the local dealer isn't reliable.

My alternatives are the 2025 Audi Q7 and the Lexus GX550. Both have stronger dealer networks and reputations for after-sales service, which makes the decision harder.

If anyone here owns a 2025 GV80, especially in the Seattle area, I’d love to hear your thoughts. And if you’ve had any experience with Genesis of Kirkland, good or bad, I’d really appreciate hearing about it before I make a decision.

Thanks in advance!

Sorry, no experience with that dealership. As for alternatives, I put my name on a list for a GX550 (Lux+ in a specific color combo) on January 2nd. After watching the dealership pricing shenanigans over a couple months, I eventually decided on a GV80, despite my closest dealership being >115 miles away. To this day, I have still never been called by the Lexus dealership, lol.

How has your experience with the GV80 been so far?

Bought it at the end of February and only have ~750 miles so far but it has been great. Love the sound system and Carplay integration. Drives great, suspension is good, and the tires feel pretty good. I suspect they are witholding the air suspension (a common influencer complaint when comparing the the X5) for a future refresh. No major complaints. Minor annoyances include the ridiculous shape of the key fob and the Homelink buttons dont work unless the car is acc/on/running. The buttons of the fob are on the edges and its hard to press them with my fat fingers without pressing the buttons on the opposing edge. Not as dextrous as I used to be I guess. As for the Homelink buttons, I prefer getting things in my car first (including two young labradors) before opening the garage door, especially in a midwest winter. Now I start the car then quickly press the button. Not a huge deal of course, but definately not best practices starting a car before opening the garage door.
