Considering buying a 2011 Hyundai Equus..?

Have you seen an Ultimate Trim Equus? There are somewhat unusual in the US, because they have a very fancy rear seat and rear entertainment system for a chauffeur driven car where the owner sits in the back. That kind of thing is big in Korea.

I have, there are a decent amount for sale nation wide.
None of them are close to where I am though... about 500 miles away.

In 2014 though the fancy rear seat is an option for Ultimate with the 60/40 being an option, at least this is what I've read.

Not sure about that. My recollection is that the Equus Ultimate was about $7K more than the Signature because of the fancy seating in the rear.

The 2016 Equus features should be similar (although not exact) that is still on the Hyundai website.

The fancy rear seat is gone. The Ultimate now gets front camera, heads
up display, power open close trunk, back seat ceiling mount vanity mirrors,
power sun shades in both back seat side doors, heated cooled back seats, and
power close doors. Also gets two video monitors mounted on the back of
both front seats. Think that is what $7k gets you.

I actually prefer it this way, now the back center armrest moves up and
down, so you can use the center back seat.

my 2011 Equus signature has power rear sunshades
IMO...all the other extra equipment that was gained after the old fancy rear seat was changed was far more valuable

On the used car market that $7000 turns into $2500 in about 3 years in resale difference in the signature and ultimate
