Actually, Genesis was rated as #1 overall. It just so happens that the 2 cars rated (G80 and G90) are in the luxury category. This should garner a lot of attention for the Genesis brand.

It just so happened that, because the Genesis brand has only two luxury models, and both have all the fancy safety equipment as standard (not optional), which makes Genesis the only brand where those features are standard on all models and all trim levels, that is what is pushed them to the top in the minds of CR.
