Interesting, especially since General Tire is owned by Continental Tire Co.We got rid of the DWS and put the General GMax on. They are a ultra high perform all season. They are great.

There is no industry standard as to what performance category tire makers put their tires in. The speed rating and actual test track performance is a more accurate way to compare tires. There are w rated grand touring tires that have better grip and response than some performance tires. Remember the old saying "let the buyer beware". For tire companies its about product placement, marketing and profit
