  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Continentals to the belts!

I've made it a rule to get an alignment shortly after buying new tires. it makes sense to do the alignment after putting the tires on, not before.

I've never got many miles out of OEM tires but they replacement tires usually go twice as long.

You have significant negative camber on the rear as I did when I checked my car. This is a dominant contributor to your wear. It has nothing to do with the tire manufacturer.

In the following post I noted that the rear suspension is fully adjustable Steering pulls to right however I was not able to get mine quite to where I wanted it.

I believe the factory specs for rear camber are- 1.5 +/- 0.5 degrees. Unfortunately you are in this range, however if you don't want to prematurely wear another set I recommend you find and alignment shop that knows how to adjust and reduce the negative camber. In my car I was not able to adjust below -1.2 degrees (still too much negative IMHO). For what it's worth, at the -1.2/-1.3 range I've not noted my inner edges wearing like they did before. I just recently put in a new set of tires and will be able to monitor correctly going forward (my prior tires were a hodge podge having been replaced at different times).

I would target the -0.5 to -0.75 degrees if I were you. If you typically drive this car alone, have them align it with you sitting in the driver seat.
