I bought a 2015 CPO Tech with 22K miles 7 months ago. A few weeks after I bought it, I got stuck with it, it wouldn't start (wouldn't crank). It continued to occur. Long story short, After 6 visits throwing various parts at it (per tech line) to 3 Hyundai dealers, twice towed in, they replaced the starter and fixed the problem. The dealer kept asking tech/warranty for approval for a starter and Hyundai warranty folks declined and took the cheap way out over and over again, because the starter was an expensive repair. New starter installed about 1 month ago. Last week, the head unit (radio) stops working (GPS, amp, backup camera, Sirius). Dealer had it warrantied and Hyundai sends a remanufactured unit to replace. Dealer installs it, and it too, does not work. Dealer says Hyundai wont replace it with a new one ($$$$) and we will continue to have problems with a remanufactured unit. Oh, 3 sets of front turn signal bulbs needed replacing during this time too. Numerous calls to Hyundai customer care in California with case managers who don't return calls or emails, sent up to corporate (no response), even Genesis Motors (who won't assist). What did I expect them to do? Keep the car at the dealership as long as needed to repair the car properly, with new parts, and give me a loaner car. An Accent would have been fine. Customer care says, No can do. Selling dealer was terrific, no complaints there just no support from Hyundai. Great, great driving car by the way. Just unreliable, frequent maintenance and undependable. Trading it in next week, going back to Lexus.
