  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I am looking for some new tires for my Equus(19 inch) and I cant decide bewteen the two. I'm looking for these two things. First I want a smooth ride and second to the ride is tirewear. Can someone help me?

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
The Contiprocontacts are Grand Touring tires whereas the DW06 are Ultra High Performance tires. I would think the Grand Touring tires would be a smoother ride.

I would also highly suggest looking at the General Gmax as03 if your going to go the the Ultra high performance route. General is owned by continental and the the gmax has nearly identical tech put into the tire. I suggest comparing the tires on tire rack

The DWS06 is the upgraded version of DWS. They claim that dws06 has better sidewalls and steering response.

The DWS06 is supposed to have a stiffer sidewall, which would give better steering response with a possible trade-off of ride comfort. I think which one you'd prefer depends most on your driving style.

I have the Continental PROCONTACT TX on my Genesis right now (factory replacement for the original Hankooks due to flat spotting). I have no issues with ride comfort or noise, but they're not intended for spirited driving (grand touring vs high performance). I haven't had them long enough to really evaluate treadwear, but given your criteria they should be good.
