Bought in July at 140,000km
Paid 11k CAD

Dealer says two control arms need replacement

670 for one arm + 130/hr labour for 1.5 hour = 865 for each side

1730 for both
What do you think? Reasonable or too high

I do feel that the wheels don’t stay straight when going over bumpy roads

I already regret not going to an independent mechanic

Do a search for control arm You will find another thread where a guy was quoted $3400US for it. I don't know if your price is good, but is is far better than his dealer.

Control arms can be bought for $80 each on eBay and any decent local garage can put those on, they are nothing special to do.
You can get this completely done for less than $500.

This! Never worked on a cars suspension before in my life.. Ive installed lowering springs and now just recently removed those and installed Bc Racing DS Series coilovers. All done by myself in day each time. i only got faster at it i could pull any suspenion compnent in probably less than 15 minutes. do yourself a favor start buying tools and do the shit yourself save yourself thousands of dollars and have peace of mind that if anything goes wrong with your car you can fix it.
