Sorry for my suggestion. That definitely seems broken. If I am seeing it correctly, not only does it sometimes not advance the panel but when you select a panel and depress the
wheel it merely moves between panels on the screen.
When you use the touchscreen, does it work properly? If yes...that would at least pinpoint the problem with the
wheel and its system. If, on the other hand, you also have a problem with the touchscreen, then you likely either have a bad software build or a defect somewhere in the info headunit.
I hope you have a good dealership and they are good with loaners. If it were me, and the touchscreen worked, it would be an annoyance but I could wait a couple of weeks for an appointment to get a loaner; if, on the other hand, it affects the touchscreen as well, then I would want to be able to take it into the dealer and get an immediate loaner. At that point the car is no longer entirely functional. In my case, I am confident that either way I could take it in immediately and get a loaner (I say take it in because while my dealer has offered valet service, it is only a very fast 4 miles away so I prefer to actually go there, see what is happening, and make sure that I am okay with the loaner.
As an aside, give me an equivalent loaner and I will put up with a lot. Make that process painful, or not available, and I am counting the days in the shop for a possible lemon law claim and plan on leaving the dealership and, depending upon the reason and alternatives, the brand as well.
