Correcting Nav orientation?

I swear my nav orientation used to be centered around whatever direction the car was facing. It seems like for the last few months though the map is always fixed and it's the direct of the arrow representing the car that's changed. Am I off my rocker or is there a setting I'm missing? Even in guided navigation the map is always north/south. This makes driving with directions a pain in the ass.

It's a setting in the nav. I can't recall where but it's in the menu for sure.

^+1 and all info is in the manual. I do think you just push the DIS knob down which brings up a menu and choose north up or direction up(something like that).

Different strokes. Personally, I prefer the "north up" setting because it emulates a paper map view which you don't spin around to view.

I've already gone thru every setting on the console and couldn't find a setting that would fix this.

On my 13' V6 Tech, with DIS, go to MENU in the Nav screen. Go down to "Map Mode", press the DIS, and change either to "Map North", or "Drive up".

This is not very hard to do. I just fumbled through my settings while I was on the freeway coming home tonight. I was able to figure it out pretty easily.

Go back to your car and mess with the DIS controller and MENU options on the NAV. It is there. Mine is 2014 which is different than your 2012, they changed the MENU and DIS somewhat. But I had a 2011 before and was able to do the change there as well.

On the Signature/Tech all you need to do is press the directional button while the Navigation screen is up. It's the compass icon (shows "N" with a arrow, I believe). Pressing it switches orientation back and forth.
