  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

What kind of price have you guys found for STOCK Engine and Cabin Filters?

Was at my closest dealer (not selling dealer) a couple days ago and asked what was the cost of these two filters. The parts guy, without even bothering to look it up quoted me............... Ready????

$18.99 for the Engine Air Filter
$28.35 for the Cabin Air Filter

Just wondering what price you were quoted. Next time I'm at my selling dealer, I will check there. (No, I don't like buying off Ebay or mail order).

I order all of my OEM parts from parts.com -- for original parts, it's the cheapest I've ever found.

They list the cabin filter at $12 and the engine air filter at $14.

Thanks for that - the dealer prices are ridiculous.

I looked it up in www.parts.com and found the air cleaner @ $14.38 but could not find anything on the cabin filter. (what did I do wrong?)

So, I'm about to checkout at parts.com trying to take advantage of the information learned here. This is the total with S/H added (please see PDF).

If the above dealer quotes are accurate, it's only about an $10 difference for both filters. While I'm happy to save money when I can, since my dealer already provides lifetime free oil and filter changes, I think I'll buy the parts from them to support the business. If the difference was more, I'd consider using parts.com like Bob, but the dealer's got a facility to maintain.

Just my 2 cents. Thanks for the suggestions.

P/S sorry about the right side of the PDF being cutoff after I have uploaded. The price total came to almost $40 with shipping and $2 handling. I have uploaded a new PDF.

Please note that the prices I quoted were from the Parts Department of my CLOSEST Dealer (Jenkins Hyundai in Leesburg), NOT my selling dealer (Orlando Hyundai). I will check the prices from my selling dealer next time I go to Orlando. The parts guy, Richard, at Orlando is a straight shooter, and does not BS.

What I did not like was the parts guy at that closest dealer rattled off the prices, without even looking it up. I doubt if they have sold enough of them, seeing as how the Genesis is still considered a new model, that he could memorize the price.
