cost to remove muffler

i have a 2013 hyundai genesis sedan 3.8 v6 base. i was just wondering how much will it cost to remove the muffler

Don't do it! If you do, then you can do it for the cost of a hand saw. Just cut it off the pipe.

Paid my local shop ~$100/hour for a total of 6 hours of labour to remove the mufflers, installed an x pipe from MSA, and ~$300 of stainless steel to straight pipe it all the way back.

can i just get the muffler removed and thats it till i have enough money to get an exhaust or do i have to get everything right away?
sorry i'm learning all of this.

You can cut them off with a saw and everything will be just fine. However having the exits ofbyou exhaust under your car will add to the reverberations and noise in the car. Drone is a big issue with these cars and nevermind when you just cut the mufflers off. It's an issue I have with my cutouts. I am contemplating running some pipe from my cutouts to just in front of my rear tires to see if it will help.

I don't think there is anything specific with these cars. I've run cutouts or muffler deletes for some duration of time with my last 3 cars and they all have drone issues due to the exhaust setup.
