  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Sorry...this was a duplicate post.

Sorry...got a duplicate post in. trying to delete..
The first post should be directly above this.

Drag Race Traffic Lights. Seriously This would be an improvement.

Why don't we see the countdown traffic lights more often? I want the christmas tree countdown lights for obvious reasons..but I would bet a case could be made for saving gas, reducing accidents.

In England, many of the the lights go from red to yellow to green. Kind of serves the same purpose.

It extends out of the UK as well, I was in Germany a year or so ago and they had RYGYR lights there also. It is possibly a European thing?

Re: Sorry...this was a duplicate post.

I just watch the 'walk - do not walk' guy/countdown on the signs. Especially whn I get close to a green light going yellow/red. Gives me a good indication on whether to speed up or slow down :)

In Austria the green light flashes a couple times before it goes to yellow and then red. Kind of neat to know that you are getting close to the switch.

Giving a digital countdown could likely cut down on red-runners. It is a lot more informative to give idea of how long till red versus just a yellow light of variable length.

I would also like the drag start warning..... Though as a motorcycle rider I am pretty careful not to jump out into intersection now with red-runners being rampant.
