  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hello,

I have bought the 2021 Genesis G70 and I’m really happy with my purchase. But there is one thing that concerns me a lot right now. I live in cold climate area and yesterday there was a huge snowstorm and my car was standing in parking lot at night. In the morning when I saw it, It was fully covered in pile of snow. Even the hood was not visible. So I was just wondering will anything wrong happen to my car or car engine once I get it out of the snow after 24-30 hours at least? I’m really worried about car.

Thank you

Millions of cars in the north had been in that situation over the past century. They put a hood on cars so the snow does not lay directly on the engine.

Just don't use a shovel to remove the snow and scratch the paint. I've seen people do that.

Being covered in snow might actually keep it marginally warmer than if it were not.

Snow itself won't harm the car. If anything, it will insulate it. Keep a good coat of wax on it and you will be fine. Don't use remote start to warm it up until the front & rear of the car and area at the base of the windshield are open so that it can breathe.

Well, I think I posted it twice as I’m new to this and this is my first thread. Sorry about that.
