  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

CPO, warranty questions

When i bought mine it was the cheapest CPO in the country, literally 10 mins from where I lived.

16 3.8 rwd with 14k miles, got it out the door at 27k. It's base trim so none of the fancies, but I can use android auto which is actually pretty legit now i've gotten used to it.

This was in Feb, so there has to be cheaper deals out there with the sport dropping, keep looking and you will find a steal somewhere. I still can't believe I drive this damn car around knowing I got it cheaper then a 17 Sonata or Accord!

I'm not car smart...
1) Dealer told me that the genesis I want to buy is certified CPO, but it will cost me an extra $1835 because that's what they paid Hyundai to certify it. I walked out shortly after... What the hell

2) if I buy a Genesis from a non-hyundai dealer, not a CPO genesis, can I still purchase an extended warranty for it? What I'm looking for is bumper to bumper extension for up to 100k miles/5 years, not just powertrain extension.

I've read the various threads and I'm still a bit lost.

3) If all goes well I should have a Genesis tomorrow. Saw one ...but ... it's a 5.0L. mpg hell. I saw one for under $27000 with moonroof. Is this price too good to be true.? I can barely find any 3.8L for that price

Here is what I did - I went to KBB and priced up the CPO(they had an option) on my 2015 3.8L CPO AWD with Tech package, and I dicered the dealer to that price. If you walk they lose $ - unless there are people fighting over the car or something.

Agreed! I bet the price against a 2017 sonata Ultimate that did not even have Nav, much less the Genesis goodies and better leather, etc.
