Crank no start

I am new here. I bought a Genesis 2009 3.8L, not running.
I'm not sure what is wrong with it. Push button start. Bright dash lights on accessory. Everything appears to be in working order. The minute you push to crank, the dash lights go out. Would have thought a battery but it still cranks. Fuel pump does not prime. Can get the fuel pump to prime with a scanner so it is not a fuel pump wiring or relay issue.
What I have done: replaced battery and crank position sensor.
Checked the grounds. They all seem fine. No voltage loss between battery in trunk and charging posts under the hood.
Oddly the scan tool temporarily loses signal from the ECU, but only when cranking.
Any input is welcome.

Then get the car in front of an experienced mechanic with a Hyundai GDS compatible scan tool that can speak to all the modules. Your garden variety OBD2 readers aren't good enough. Way too many things can cause a crank-no-start in these cars for an internet diagnosis from the information so far provided. ECU, C/CPS, Security, any number of bits of wiring, or a simple fuse, etc. History on the car (wrecked, salvaged, flooded, owned and well-loved by your neighbor's grandma)?

No fuel or spark. Ecu not sending signal unless we tell it to. Not going to the dealership until we've exhausted DIY options. I don't have a Hyundai GDS scan tool, but I do have a cheap Asian one. No codes, no pending codes. Everything checks out just fine. . .until you crank (fine in accessory.) When running through self test for fuel pump you can hear the fuel pump kick on. Self test ok. No power to fuel pump when cranking. No salvage/flood history, 105K. Immobilizer appears to be operating as it should. Vehicle recognizes key. Not a brake switch. I am just wondering if anyone has any ideas or similar experience before we tear the whole car apart.

I’m actually getting similar symptoms with my ‘09 4.6 179k right now. Cranks strong, battery tests good, but hard to start after sitting for hours. If I try cranking multiple times it will finally run rough at first. Then, after shut down and crank again fires on all 8 and runs smooth wherever I’m going (with normal fuel consumption and throttle response). Restarts when engine is warm no problems. I haven’t done a fuel rail pressure leak down test yet, but I’m suspecting fuel pressure leak (maybe by injector). I do not hear the fuel pump prime on cold start even in quite driveway. My fuel pump is new and I can assume the check valve within it is good.

I have replaced since issues started:
Fuel pump
Crank position sensor

Replaced ~2 years ago:
PCV valve
EVAP purge canister valve
Spark plugs
