They received their three initial models the evening of July 3rd. One pack 2 and two pack 3s. Got to go over all three on July 4th and they are spectacular! They match the hype and look better than the pictures.
Got to drive a pack 3 today. Both surface streets and Interstate. Still spectacular! IMHO, handling/performance exceeds Azera because of rear wheel drive. The six speed Asin is just smoooooth. Acceleration is great and handling is superb in all speed ranges. Window sticker advertises 27mpg HWY, but in the small print below it says they expect 33mpg with regular gas [87]Amenities are up to hype, but I am waiting for my pack 4, which is due to arrive in two weeks. Goodbye 528i.
Some questions remain:
1. Anyone having any luck getting one priced under MSRP? My guy is telling me they just finalized their "COSTCO Deal" and it IS MSRP.
2. To the left of the steering wheel on the dash are four switch positions. In the pack 3, one is to adjust light dimming and one is to turn off ESC. The other two are capped off. Has anyone discovered what these empty two positions do which appear in the pack 4s?
3. Since there is no keyhole inside [only the start button], has anyone figured out how to get into ACC mode to listen to tunes?
4. Just above the ash tray [a total waste of space], there is a slot for junk and just to the left of that there is a small slot with a hinged door. The dealer and I surmised it was about the size of the key, and sure enough, the remote control key slides perfectly into this slot. The question is why, what does it do in there. Apparently the answer is buried in the manuals somewhere. We are thinking this may be related to question 3 above.
