  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Cruise Control and Curves

this is actually vey nice feature - and has nothing to do with any guard rail. The car senses lateral force and reduces speed...plain and simple.

Don't like it? Turn off the cruise or.... power through the curve!

It's a nice feature if you want to look like a grandpa from Ohio that can't drive on curves I guess.

Came across another gremlin. The SCC does not like something in or around the Pittsburgh Airport. I can duplicate this every time - and it's quite unnerving. When traveling inbound on I376 (with no other vehicles around mind you) the SCC will display a "caution / warning" on the DIS (within the instrument cluster). This sets the car into an immediate panic brake and will stop the car if you let it as the system senses a collision.

I'm going to record it with my HD Hero and show my dealer... this isn't right.

That's interesting ... my wife has seen the "Warning" display twice - she described it but I can't find a reference to what she said she saw. I'm going to ask her if it happened at the same location. She doesn't use the SCC so I know it didn't brake but it did alarm.

Mine works flawlessly, highway or one-lane country roads. Guard-rail or not.

:)
