I sometimes take a 40mph limit county road near my home as a shortcut. It is easy to speed on that road and I often meet a county mounty there, so I set the cruise control at 45 and keep off the gas pedal. Navigation is not active. On every occasion, the cruise control cancels itself at exactly the same place on the road with no input from me. There is a T-intersection with another county road there and I am driving on the straight through portion of the T with no need to stop or turn. The road is straight and fairly level at that point. The cancellation comes precisely in line with the side road joining.
I know there is input from the GPS and maps since I get "curve ahead" warnings on other roads. Some similar mechanism must be cancelling my cruise control but I have no clue what it could be.
