  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Is there any way to get a cumulative total of mpg. Seems every time you restart the car, the mpg display begins at 0.

My cumlative MPG gage works as it should, ie., it holds the MPG in memory until manually reset. But my elapsed time and average speed, reset every time the car has been turned off for 15 minutes or longer. Per the owner's manual, they should hold the totals in memory until manually reset. Anyone else experiencing these problems?
2001 4.6, 1900 miles. Have not taken the car to the dealer yet.

Mine automatically resets mpg to zero on all three trip settings every time I refuel. This is correct per the manual (1.6 gallons and 1.6 mph). I wish it took a push on the Reset button so I could monitor mpg longer than one tank at a time. Never had a trip computer that wouldn't average mpg up to at least 999 miles.

My previous car would show a cumulative total forever until I reset it. Seems that this is something Hyundai may have overlooked as a desirable feature.

I must be missing something here. When I turn car off and restart, both Trip A and B reset the mpg. This is very annoying and there should be someway to address this or least I would hope so.
