  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Curious to know safety software differences if any.

So on the road with G90 - long road trip and curiuos to know if the software “ keep you eyes on the road”, “take a coffee break” thats in the 2025 GV80 Coupe is applicable to 2025 G90? Does the G90 have a camera to watch eyes? IIRC, remember seeing its in the dash??

Tks for any info.

My ‘24 model is running the latest software and I do get messages on a road trip to take a break, but nothing about my eyes on the road.

Do you know if the 2025’s have the camera to monitor driver?

If it's like the Palisade Calligraphy then it is watching how you bounce back and forth in your lane, as well as throttle and brake activity. I do know for 26+ there are cams watching, however. Would assume the same on the Genny. Easy enough to put tape over.

Just curious. We go 20 miles in the gv80 coupe and get the coffee break warning, can’t look a split sec at the tuner or ac controls without getting a warning , etc…. But on the g90, have gone 800 miles so far and notta one warning whatsoever. Not complaining bc I drive the 90, but weird such a big difference. Or seems so to me.

I have the exact same car. I can go easily over an hour without getting a warning. With reflective sunglasses (non polarized) and with transition glasses that darken.

There must be some different factors involved here.

Yep. Gonna take it to a second dealer. I don’t even wear sun glasses…. 1st dealer said “that’s the way it’s suppose to work”. Weird.

How long did it take you to go 20 miles? Was it freeway or surface streets?

Probably 1/2 hour. 7 min city, rest hwy. But the gv80 coupe will give all these warnings and i dont seem to get any in my g90. Not complaining , because i dont want em, but drives us nuts when we take coupe on road trips. Bottom line, i think it needs a check up.

You are absolutely correct. Any dealer who looks you in the face and says “that’s the way it supposed to work” is not a dealer you want to deal with!

We’ll see. We only have 1 dealer ( is new ) in town and there working out of like shipping containers. No lie. I think these guys can only do so much with these new “safety systems”, unless its a blaring issue. I remember years ago we had an audi a6 that always acted up with the lane assist stuff on long straight aways. We even took the head tech on a drive over the causeway bridge - straight bridge , about 25 miles long - and demod the issue. They would always come back with NPF, no problem found. :(

I have a 26 Coupe and the warnings are so loud and intrusive that I have to shut them off - which I don’t want to do. Don’t know about road trips, yet. Never any such issues on my 21 when I had it. Because it’s a safety issue and the system is so bad, I’ve reported it to NHTSA which I suggest others do if we want Genesis to do anything about it. Love the car otherwise.
