Dash Cam Advice

Good morning all.

I was wondering if there are any dash cams out there with no wires... For instance, a dash cam like a phone. I can charge it before bed and wake up and use the next day. All of the dash cams I see online are hard wired with cords dangling from the window to an outlet. I would like something that I can charge and when i'm ready to use it, mount it? Are these even available? If not I'll just use an old cell phone thanks

Just hardwire to mirror power.

I just went out my car and didnt see one? I'm not a handy man so disassembling anything is something I want to stay away from

Any audio shop can do it. I used T-taps. Two and done.

I'm sure he meant to say "just hard wire to mirror power."
Your mirror has switched 12V power running to it, and that circuit can spare enough to power a dash cam or radar detector. You just have to splice into a couple of wires.

When it's hardwired to a rvmirror then it is possible that some features won't work. For instance, my cam has features that require a 12v signal when parked.
