  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hey everyone,

My car was just in for service and they left me a G80. It had the exact same dash but I noticed that when the drive modes were changed the tach changed on the G80. Sport had a different look etc.

Is there any reason the G70 doesn’t have the same options? Just curious if anyone else has the feature or has noticed the same.

What year G80? Mine does not change on the 2018

What year G70?

Because the new G80 has a digital display. Our cars have the half-a$$ analog/digital display, so the digital part has to more or less match the crappy fixed side. That's probably why. My '22 Santa Fe Calligraphy with the fully digital display also has several options, but I fixed it with the one I like best, so when I change modes, it stays the same. I didn't like the gimmicky red sport option, and always drive in sport mode, hence choosing a different one and making it permanent. Maybe the new 'refresh' will get a fully digital display... if it happens here.

The G80 that arrived as a loner had the exact same as ours. Half digital and half analog. Hence my post.

Really? Unbelievable. Maybe a base model? I test drove one, and had a fully digital dash. But it was the Prestige, or whatever the top trim is. But unbelievable to have that crappy dash on a G80. No wonder it doesn't sell well.

Maybe it will come in an update one day? I was surprised it didn't change from mode to mode
