  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Something very odd. My Genesis didn't adjust the time this morning for daylight saving time. I had to adjust it manually. Seems odd to me as I have everything in settings to be automatic (I think!).

They would have to know where you live (not all locations in the USA use DST). Also, the DST effective dates do change from time to time by acts of Congress. DST seems to be implemented earlier and earlier.

I gave up and manually change it myself. Oh and DST is crap. Set a time and keep to it.

My other 2 cars set by themselves just like my cell phone. We do have something called GPS that knows where we are located, no reason it could not take care of this on it's own. That being said, you need to manually check or uncheck the DST option to set the correct time since the GPS does set the time, just not the DST.

This discussion happens every 6 months. They could have automated it, but I prefer to do it manually and watch the analog clock spin around to the new time. :-)

Right, that reminds me to turn off DST and then turn it back on when my kids are in the car! The automatic movement of the analog dials along with that sound is pretty cool. :irule:
