  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Last week I noticed the passenger daytime amber running light bulb was burnt out. I ordered two new ones and as suggested, I changed both the passenger and driver side. Well, now the driver side will not work. It worked fine until I changed the bulbs out. Tried numerous bulbs, but it there is an issue somewhere. I tried to determine if there is power coming to the light, but I couldn't get anything. I will try again tomorrow when I have more daylight (and more patience). I doubt if there is fuse for just one bulb, so that cannot be the issue. Anyone have any suggestions. Not that this is important, but the vehicle only has 15k miles and is still pristine.

Okay, should have searched for similar posts first before posting this. There is a lot posted about the daytime running lamp issue. Now I've become a victim for the first time. I don't mine if they burn out periodically, but as I said above, I cannot get my driver side bulb to work at all now. Now that that I think about it, I believe it was on at first when I changed the bult, but about 1/2 the brightness and then nothing. I was parked facing the setting yellow sun and I thought the light I saw was the reflection of that, but it could have been the light 1/2 bright. I live nearly 200 miles from the nearest dealer, so that is not an option, at least now.

The sockets are most likely burnt to a crisp. You can either get new ones from a dealer or you can attempt to sand the contacts to clean them off.
