  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I was out of town golfing yesterday. So after a 2 hour road trip the car was running perfectly. After golf, I couldn’t open the trunk, so opened the drivers door to push the trunk button.
everything was dead. The tow truck gave the car a boost and it started fine and we drove home.

I started thinking I must have left something on, but it certainly wasn’t obvious, and couldn’t determine what could have been left on.
What could I have left on? Most functions won’t stay on, even if you try.
any ideas?

I did that once with a Palisade. I finally figured that I had probably left the ignition on. Never had the problem again.

Door ajar? Reading lamp illuminated? Ignition in accessory setting rather than off? I am guessing, same as you.

Will the ignition stay on long enough to drain the battery?
I thought it would time out?
When I’ve stopped a want to listen to the radio by having the ignition one, it seems to shut down after about 5 minutes. ?
