  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Dealership says they don't do loaners?

I do all the basic maintenance myself since I cant even trust them to change the oil after they refused to use the oil recommended and under filled it.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
I took my Sonata in for service and they fried the ECU. Gave me a Genesis overnight and it was a factor in buying one. They had that and an Accent on hand.

From the dealer's point it is an expense. I have to buy four cars to use as loaners. Should I get G80s with a sticker of $55k or should I get a Hyundai with a sticker of $25k? I don't know real cost and financing but it takes a lot of oil changes to pay the difference. One way or another, it is you and I paying for it.
Dealers don't "BUY" cars. They are set up on Floorplan thru corporate and a finance company. and pay monthly a percentage on every car he has in stock. The loaners or demo cars are partially compensated by the manufacturer. Ever see a deal on "Demo" cars advertised? These are priced at normal price less compensation the manufacturer of the car provided. WIn-Win for the dealer as he had a car folks could drive and advertising/promotion for the manufacturer.

Not sure about Genesis, but I have bought cars before from dealers who claim they don’t do floor plans and they out right buy all their cars. Probably not many who have the capital for this. Some prior cars I have purchaesed I had ordered so as soon as they came in the car was sold and left the lot. If the dealer had a floor plan you could get best pricing on special ordered cars for they never hit the floor plan cost at all.

I purchased a 2019 Genesis G70 3.3 in March of this year. I called in today to schedule my first service and while making the arrangements it occurred to me I should go ahead and double check that they have a loaner vehicle available at the time we were scheduling. The individual I was speaking to explained to me that our dealership does not give loaners out for routine maintenance, but only if something is wrong and they have to keep your vehicle for an extended period of time. I was quite shocked to hear this. I purchased from a different dealership out of state (Bob Stallings-Dallas) and was told that loaners and concierge service are standard on any new vehicle purchase at all locations. This was actually confirmed by other dealerships I talked to during my buying process as well. It was something I was sure to ask about because it is a must have for me with my work schedule. Anyway, I wanted to see if anybody else has run into the same issue with their servicing? Our dealership advertises the concierge service, so do they just show up and take your car then leave you without one?
Yes! I previously had a Lexus and the service was amazing and never had a problem obtaining a loaner. I have a new 2021 Genesis and was promised valet service or a loaner if needed. Now when I need it either I get neither. I am told they don't have any. Guess it's "guarantees" are worthless and it's back to Lexus.

So see ya, back to Lexus for you. Their will always be Good dealers and Bad dealers, to let a dealer rob you of an amazing car is on you. I have had bad dealer experiences with Mercedes Benz, BMW and Volvo but I am persistent and 9 times out of 10 I get what was promised to me. I also am Professional and I know how to escalate my issues until I get to someone reasonable.

Does that mean I will Never buy a MB, BMW or Volvo again because I had a bad dealership experience?? Absolutely not If you were promised a Loaner and you are professional and persistent, escalate until you get a loaner. Genesis/Hyundai/Kia is not your DEALER.

If the Manufacturer says you Get X and the Dealer will not honor X then talk to the manufacturer or Start with the General manager of the Dealership ,most dealers don't want the bad press and/or reviews and the manufacturer does not either.

Like Patrick Swayze says in Road House "BE NICE"
