  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

anyone else have the same bad luck as me? i bought my 2013 gen coupe 2.0T back in 2018 and the engine blew right after warranty ended. long story short, i did an engine swap with a 26,xxx miles engine… that started making a ticking noise at 53,xxx miles. took it to the dealership near me, also for a service for anti theft system upgrade to be done, and all the free services to go with it. picked my car up, told me a bull story how the engine is trash, so i just wanna get my car outta there. they did nothing else but diagnose my car by, “listening to it” cuz “you can just hear that its no good” i get my car, they did a complete switch-a-roo on me… it is no longer my car…. engine, transmission, fuse boxes, exhaust pipes, suspension, you name it, they switched it! theyre also trying to claim that i have had recall services done, and that were reimbursed. thats false! at least my car nor myself was reimbursed or fixed! anyone have any info on all the ways i can make verify parts, part numbers, unreported engine swapping, and how to handle my missing homelink. they messed with so much, i have to rebuild the whole car.
shopping around, i found another car JUST like mine, and i mean, obviously they used it for parts, made it pretty to sell and lie about it all. ive heard about the engine that was suppost to be in mine and this other one im looking at, (both no longer have) that has a life time warranty on it, along with all the recalls for powertrain and such done but i have no way to tell that anything was infact actually done… nor does there seem to be a way to report the way these cars are being chop shopped and resold. i just want my baby back. and she will come back! under the new name The Nemesis! ANY tips and info to help me would be AMAZING!

They sure did a lot of work swapping all that stuff. How long did they have your car? Did they do this while you were wiating?

they had it from the 2nd to the 16th of this month. and i pulled it by surprise on them, thankfully. the more i look into the whole thing as and how much i can tell has been messed with or replaced, im starting to worry that to make it easier, they just popped my body onto a junker chassis… but i hope im wrong… infact thats another question i need to find the answer to is if that were to be the case, is there anyways for me to tell/ prove it? cuz they dismantled and messed with everything from the seats to the console to the dash… my hood release has a lot of play in it. my vin numbers are all in places that would be easy to do that with as well. door frames, dash on drivers side, and one on each side of my front side panels where it connects to the engine bay.

trust me, blew my mind and has been a real rough time for me even looking it over without ending the day in full blown stressed out mode. i thought taking it to that place was gonna be my safe bet… not my worst decision ever. this happening to me never even crossed my mind as a possibility, let alone that id end up pretty much losing my car after i JUST paid it off. i love this car. They got a lot of money outta me being naive.
